Description of the 4 filtration stages:
Sediment filter:
Removes coarser particles 5 microns or larger (dust, rust, sediment, mud, sand) to prevent clogging of subsequent filters.
Activated Carbon Filter:
Filtration at 0.1 microns, using activated carbon to remove physical and chemical impurities such as chlorine, volatile organic compounds, suspended particles, etc. It will serve to protect the RO membrane and improve the initial quality of the water.
Reverse osmosis (RO) membrane:
Primary filtration with an accuracy of 0.0001 micron that removes up to 95-99% of contaminants such as heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic) nitrates, sulfates, fluorides, bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms to produce pure water by removing the majority of contaminants.
Activated carbon filter (post-filtration):
